Maybe your right but this qualifying was supposed to be a test of her finishing and scoring capacity after her injury and she needs to prove that because then her worth to team is gone so now we never know

Anonymous

*cough* you’re and *cough* I am.

Thing is, dude this tournament wasn’t really her test. Why would she need to be tested on whether she can score against a team like T&T and Guatemala (although apparently she couldn’t in both) when it’s been proven that she can score a brace against France? And before this year, against Germany, Sweden, etc.

Also, while there were still aspects of her game that she was only recently getting back, she’s scored 5 goals in the 7 games she’s played since returning from injury. So no, it’s not “never know”. Dude…we know, know. We know she was back and she’s proven to still be as valuable as she was before the injury late last year.

Come on now, man. Think. Like the real kind of think.

Ok, I get trolls but I’m genuinely confused over their conviction and utter dedication to being impossibly wrong?

My sentiments exactly.

Did you? Already? Huh, they usually stop asking when either of us answers. But yes to the three players. And besides, there could very well be players on the current 20-player roster who might not even see action at all this qualifiers.

If you always claim that everyone have to work to be on team like allie long why not alex morgan? And you say that just bcoz abby wambach is the world leading score and prove herself over the years does not mean she will prove worth next year so why not same for alex morgan?

Because contrary to whatever delusion Allie Long and her fans might have, hanging out with Alex Morgan and sticking to her like bloody super glue will not make you as talented or as valuable as Alex Morgan! Excuse the shouting, I promise it sounds nice and not as rude in my head. Alex is not, thankfully, Allie Long. Alex has proven her worth and if I had the time I would list down all the reasons why so kindly refrain from doing her injustice by comparing her to her dear friend who has yet to actually do something impressive other than wearing down both grass or turf.

As for Abby, you will never hear me say anything which will discredit what she has done and contributed to this team and I will forever respect and admire her dedication and passion and will forever be in awe of that record and of the player she is. And unlike some retiring dude, she actually is a legend. Her constant flopping though, another matter. But unlike Abby, Alex isn’t exactly at the tail end of her career so it is safe to say that, barring the unluckiest fate with goddamn injuries, she (Alex) will be highly important in next year’s WWC. Considering that she seems to actually perform and score better against highly-ranked teams.

Ok? Was that explanation enough or do I need to actually jot down some details? By jot down, I mean, dumb down some simple facts.

Do you realize you might have a troll?

Yes and apparently not in the dungeon.

Fair point. A goal or two probably would have made those losses less painful and embarrassing. Keyword ‘probably’. Although I think our back line was about as crappy as it has ever been then too. Oh hell, whole team had zero chemistry…kinda hard all around to finish when the ball barely got to you.

Im just saying if she not helping her team she has not earned her spot or proven herself and that is unfair

Sorry, don’t mean to put words in your mouth although I’m inclined to think that would be helpful, but are you essentially saying that in her four year career with the National Team, 49 goals later, she still has not earned her spot? Granted she hasn’t had a stellar year but that’s mostly to be blamed on the stupid injury but…in what world would you actually think that Alex Morgan has not proven herself and her value with the USWNT?
